There are never enough good monitors on the market. That's what Redmi said, introducing a new 27-inch monitor with 2K resolution. The low-set price tag will also surprise you.
The biggest attraction is the display
Redmi 2K Display is the official name of the new monitor. As the name suggests, it will try to capture high definition for a really reasonable amount. The monitor itself has relatively narrow frames, which will not be any distracting element during work. Its thickness at the narrowest point is only 7,5 millimeters.
The display is an IPS LCD type with a diagonal of 27 inches. Its attraction will be the resolution itself, which reaches the level of 2K (2 x 560 pixels). To make the image as smooth as possible, my high display refresh rate of up to 1 Hz helps. These are values that even basic gaming monitors achieve.
The Redmi 2K Display monitor also offers 8-bit color depth with 127 percent sRGB spectrum coverage. It will also please a high contrast of 10: 000 and a maximum brightness of 000 rivets. That is rich enough for basic office work.
Thanks to the used IPS display technology, the monitor is easy to read from various angles without changing the displayed colors. The manufacturer declares that the monitor should provide the same color rendering when viewed from a 178-degree angle.
Connector equipment and availability
The Redmi 2K Display monitor has connectors on the back such as 1x VGA, 1x HDMI version 1.4, a 3,5 mm headphone jack and a mains power connector.
For now, the Redmi 2K Display will only be available on the Chinese domestic market at a price of 1399 yuan, which is about 183 EUR. It's a really great price for a monitor equipped like this. We are curious if this product will reach the global market in time. However, it will certainly be available soon from international retailers.
