Xiaomi brought a novelty to the Chinese market, a ceiling light Mijia Fan Light, which combines lighting and a fan in one. This product is currently available on the Youpin platform only for the domestic market and offers an interesting solution for smart homes.
Well-thought-out LED light with a full spectrum
Mijia The Fan Light has a full spectrum LED light that mimics daylight. With a color rendering index of Ra97, it ensures that the light quite accurately replicates natural daylight. Light in the shape of a circle with a diameter 485 millimeters reaches the luminous flux 350 lux.
Fan, in the middle of which the light is located, with the diameter of the blades 1,06 meters it is made of transparent plastic. However, together with the light, it is dominated by the white matte color, which will suit almost any interior.
One of the advantages is the possibility of regulating the temperature of the light, which ranges from 2900 K (warm light ideal for relaxation) until 5700 K (a cold light that is suitable for working spaces). It achieves the maximum performance of LED lighting 60 watts.
Fan modes and performance
The fan offers 4 modes, such as lake breeze, hill breeze, field breeze or camping breeze. You can use these modes to create a pleasant atmosphere at home for relaxation or work. Which is great, an engine with power 35 watts effectively sets in motion up to 160 cubic meters of air per minute.
And all this with minimal noise, just 32 decibels, which means that it can operate quietly even at night. That's what it's for sleep mode, whose interesting feature is that it automatically adjusts the air flow to changes in the temperature of the human body during the night, which contributes to a refreshing sleep.
The app is standard for Xiaomi
Mijia You can control Fan Light remotely via the Mi Home application available for Android and iOS, which allows you to conveniently change lighting and ventilation modes. Thanks for the support HyperOS Connect from Xiaomi, you can control the product simultaneously from several devices.
If this product were to reach Europe, it would probably also be controllable voice commands via Google Home or Amazon Alexa assistants.
Price and availability
To begin with Mijia Fan Light sells at a discounted price 549 Chinese yuan (approximately €71). After the end of the campaign, the price will rise to 599 yuan. There is no word yet on whether Xiaomi will sell this product outside of China, but if it does, the price would likely be higher due to shipping and taxes.
