The company Xiaomi commented on the whole fact as follows: "We regret to inform you that the launch of the new 13 series will be postponed. We will let you know as soon as the new release date is confirmed. Thank you for your understanding and support."
While Xiaomi has not disclosed the reasons for the delay, it is believed to have been caused the death of former President of the People's Republic of China Jiang Zemin, who died at the age of 96.

Xiaomi is not yet clear on when the event will be moved. It may happen that it will only be moved by a few days. The company needs to rethink when is the best time to announce its next flagship smartphone.
It is not the first event of this type. In August, we saw Motorola delay its China launch of the Razr 2022 foldable and the X30 Pro smartphone due to rising political tensions between the US and China.
The event was originally scheduled for August 2 and was subsequently postponed to August 11. If Xiaomi follows a similar strategy, we believe that Xiaomi 13 series and we will see other products before the end of 2022.
