The MIUI superstructure is iconically connected with smartphones produced by the Chinese giant. One of these popular iconic smartphones is the Redmi Note 7, which gained its popularity among fans mainly due to its excellent price-performance ratio.
Unfortunately, time is slowly but surely passing and the end of support for updates will come sooner or later for each smartphone. Although we at Xiaomi were used to demonstration software support, from which the competition could often be inspired, this is not the case.
Redmi Note 7, Note 7 Pro and Xiaomi CC9e
It is these mentioned smartphones that are officially coming from April 24, 2021 for support as part of updates to newer versions of the superstructure. However, users do not have to worry, security patches will be released by Xiaomi for at least another year.
If you own one of these smartphones, you can rest easy. Even if the operation of your smartphone does not change in any way, you will unfortunately lose the possibility of OTA upgrade to newer versions of the superstructure. Fans of Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones loved it just for the most diverse functions.
You must have noticed that you will no longer receive these updates OTA (Over The Air). But there are still developers from Miuios.cz, who, if possible, will modify and make available newer versions of the superstructure also on officially unsupported smartphones.
So you can still look forward to the arrival of the version MIUI 12.5, which is to be charged with new technologies, or a successor MIUI 13. The only difference will be that you will have to install the update manually.
In the discussion below the article, you can safely write to us if you are one of the owners of these smartphones and if hey, how satisfied you are with it. We have to say that even though the Redmi Note 7 is haunted by a smartphone, it is a really well-equipped model for its time. You can see for yourself in our past reviews.
