We just recently published Xiaomi Planet on our website article about the Clock application, which in the form of an update receives a more renewed and modern environment. A similar fate awaits the native Gallery application.
However, unlike the Clock application, the Gallery app will be enriched with new interesting functions in the new update, which you will find useful in many cases. At the outset, please note that this is an application from the Chinese version of the MIUI superstructure and not everything must work correctly after installation, or some new functions from the article may be missing.
My day function
If you use the Photos app from Google, you surely know that the app periodically reminds you of the anniversaries of photos based on when they were taken. This function will also come to the new version of the gallery from MIUI and will be called "My Day".
We also downloaded the update to our editorial POCO F3, installed it, but unfortunately we did not find this function there. This may be due to poor compatibility with our device, but the smartphone meets the minimum requirements for the My Day function to work (Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is required as a minimum).
Photo and video editing
The new version of the Gallery application will bring with it a more refined mobile video editor, in which you will be able to combine music, filters or transitions between photos exactly according to your wishes. The developers did not forget about some interesting photo editing functions.
Specifically, we mean the possibility of automatically cutting out selected objects, for example people, and then changing the background or removing the background to create a transparent PNG photo. The MIUI development team deserves a lot of praise for these innovations.
