Basic smartphone with HD+ display
Redmi 12C has dimensions 168,8 x 76,4 x 8,8 mm at weight 192 grams. The sides and the back are made of plastic, the display is covered by durable glass. The fingerprint reader is located on the back.
The smartphone has a large one 6,71-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution (1 x 650 pixels), which gives a final resolution of 720 ppi. The refresh rate is only basic 60 Hz, considering the price tag, we are not surprised. A 5-megapixel selfie camera is hidden in the notch.
The performance is sufficient for basic operation
The processor takes care of the performance MediaTek Helio G85. It is a 12-nanometer 8-core processor with Mali-G52 MC2 graphics core. It is supported by 4 GB of RAM and up to 128 gigabytes of storage with memory card support. The superstructure has everything under its thumb MIUI 13.
The rear module is quite large, but there is basically only one full-fledged sensor that has a resolution 50 Mpx. Although we have one more camera here, it is only a depth sensor. Video can be shot in maximum Full HD resolution at 30 fps.
5 mAh battery
The pleasure is that Redmi did not forget about NFC module for contactless payments, Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi. The battery has a decent capacity 5 mAh, but supports only 10-watt wired charging, so it will take some time. Disappointing is the use of the now obsolete microUSB connector.
