Google Camera or abbreviated GCAM is a popular mobile application directly backed by Google. This is an alternative to the built-in Camera app, which comes pre-installed by Xiaomi on your smartphone by default.
In addition, this alternative brings a number of advantages, especially in the case of mid-range smartphones, which do not have to include such a wide range of functions from the factory.

Google Camera: Night mode, long shutter, portrait or HDR +
There are definitely many features that will add value to your smartphone. Let's start with the first, which is night mode.
Night Sight is a mode that captures a lot more light than any competing Android application and will give your night or evening photos a higher quality. Here are some examples.
Regime astrophotography closely related to the night and is available for Google Camera versions 7.0 and 7.2.
This mode is designed to work only in low light and to help capture specific bodies in the sky, such as stars, better and cleaner. It works with a long exposure and captures a lot of light and detail of the scene.
It is also popular portrait mode, which creates the so-called "Bokeh" effect or background blur effect. DSLR cameras use a larger lens aperture, which is not possible in a mobile phone.

Google Camera also offers processing of images captured in HDR +. An image captured in this mode consists of multiple images with different exposures.
As a result, it retains a lot of detail and creates a more contrasting result. Better contrast also means a balanced exposure at the right value for a given photo.

The installation process itself is also very simple. Find your smartphone and the current version of the operating system (Android 9/10).
You will find it on the relevant link .apk file, which needs to be downloaded to your phone's storage. You will then install the application by clicking on the appropriate .apk file.
However, it is necessary allow installation of applications from unknown sources in your smartphone settings.
