Once again we have new information about upcoming tablets Xiaomi Pad 6 series. This time, however, they refer to an additional external keyboard, which will also have a touchpad.
External keyboard to tablets, the company Xiaomi introduced together with the last generation Xiaomi pad 5. Although it fit both models of the series, this keyboard did not make it out of the Chinese market, just like the model xiaomi pad 5 pro.

But now it seems that the keyboard for the Xiaomi Pad 6 series of tablets will undergo a radical change in order to compete with the big players in the market in the form of Samsung and Apple.
New information appeared in itself MIUI code, specifically in the Settings app, where the developers added a translation referring to two things related to the keyboard, viz touchpad and NFC module.
New touchpad with gesture support
Just like the competition, the external keyboard will get a separate one touchpad with support for many gestures, as we already know from laptops.
With the help of gestures, you will be able to take a step back, return to the home screen, open the bar with control shortcuts, open the bar with notifications, switch between running applications, take a screenshot and open the menu of recently opened applications.
NFC module for mirroring smartphone content
It is also understandable why Xiaomi decided to implement NFC support for the keyboard. That's what it's meant for easy transfer of screen content from a smartphone logged into the same Xiaomi account as the tablet. It will also enable the quick transfer of files or photos between them. NFC must also be supported by the smartphone itself.
We will also see another gadget, namely backlight support, which should change automatically. However, we do not yet know whether the keyboard will work only on the new products or also on the tablets of the Xiaomi Pad 5 series.
