In 2010, Xiaomi released the very first version of its own Android add-on called MIUI. This year we will see its 11th version. The manufacturer has officially started development at the Xiaomi MIUI Core Experience Annual Meeting MIUI 11.
"New and unique OS"
Product Development Manager Liu Ming announced at the conference that MIUI 11 will be a completely "new and unique OS" from Xiaomi. However, not much detail is known at the moment, but we know that it will be even faster than the previous version. It will also bring more artificial intelligence. There will be more features that simulate human interaction and make smartphones easier to use.
Xiaomi has previously stated that it wants to focus on user needs when developing MIUI 11. We do not expect a completely new user interface design. It is also not yet known when this unique system will be available to the public.
We expect that the first smartphone that MIUI 11 will receive will be the new flagship Xiaomi Mi 9. As every year, this year Xiaomi will be looking for volunteers to test the beta.
Smartphones that do NOT receive MIUI 11
Despite the fact that the MIUI extension is currently used by more than 300 million users on 40 different smartphone models, the list of supported models will be narrowed again this year. Owners of the following Xiaomi smartphones will not enjoy the new system from Xiaomi:
Redmi Note 3 Pro
I 4S
My 5
My 4
We are 4C
MIUI 10.2 in the stable version will be the last update for owners Redmi Note 3 Pro and Mi 5, while Mi 4S, Mi 4 and Mi 4C users will only get MIUI 10.1. Unfortunately, the manufacturer also canceled the development of beta versions this time, so MIUI 11 will not reach these models even in beta.
