True Xiaomi rock fans know that the manufacturer's first-ever "product" was the MIUI user superstructure. It has undergone an incredible development since 2010 and this year we saw the introduction of a new generation - MIUI 12 - relatively soon.
The manufacturer officially named its latest software as: "The dream work of the tenth anniversary", which is related to the celebration of the brand's 10th anniversary.
These are all the latest features that were unveiled a moment ago on the official live broadcast.
New redesigned animations
The basis of the latest MIUI 12 extension is Android 10, which will be part of an update for several newer smartphones. Xiaomi started by introducing brand new animations, which are very similar to those of the American iOS.
However, it took Xiaomi even further. The transitions between the app or app and the home screen are now incredibly smooth, and the animations are really reworked.
During the transition, a kind of layering occurs, where the application itself is divided into layers and the animation gradually closes it.
The developers state that the application icon simulates a physical curve in three-dimensional space and represents a smooth and even interruptible movement of physical space.

The rotation of the screen between the horizontal and vertical directions also has a perfect animation. See the video above.
Detailed animations are also provided with icons of built-in applications, such as documents or a file browser. When closing the application as if wrapped in an icon, the effect looks incredibly good as a result.
New animations have been applied to many places in the system, including the smallest icons, such as settings. The system thus looks much more intuitive and caresses the human eye.
Speaking of animations, the Weather app has a new look, now showing animations based on the weather. If it is raining, an animation of rain will be displayed, if it is sunny, the sun will "shine" on the screen.
The unlock screen got a wonderful dynamic animation, from which the background smoothly switches to the home screen when you unlock it. The effect is really eye-pleasing.
Sophisticated multitasking
MIUI 12 comes with a much more sophisticated multitasking. As you can see in the picture below, it is now possible to create a thumbnail window for virtually any application on the system and use it while using another application.
Dark Mode 2.0
Another big innovation of the MIUI 12 model is Dark Mode 2.0. The new dark mode can adjust more colors and can work with both contrast and brightness of colors, which has not been possible before.
Dark Mode 2.0 can more accurately recognize every element and text within the interface. In this way, it is not just a question of color inversion, but of adapting each element separately, regardless of its shade.
Recognition of ambient light will result in an adjustment of the contrast and the font itself. If this is not enough, the new dark mode will also be able to adjust the font size and thickness for optimal reading.
In this way, it enlarges and roughens the font in strong light, while it will automatically be thinner and smaller in low light.
Perhaps the biggest news, however, is global dark mode, which can also switch third - party applications to dark mode, which do not have this mode by default.
More than 1 new animations for Always-on Display
Other innovations include the integration of more than 1 new backgrounds and animations for Always On Display.
The new Always On Display settings in MIUI 12 allow you to customize the appearance, allowing the user to choose which element to display and which not.
More security and privacy
Xiaomi cares about the privacy and security of its users, and in MIUI 12 it brings a set of security measures called MACE (Mobile AI Compute Engine). Their role is to protect user data.
It is an open-source framework for mobile devices that can perform certain tasks offline without uploading data to servers. This ensures maximum privacy for the user, as the calculations are done on the smartphone itself and are not sent unnecessarily to the servers.
The user can now even control what personal data Xiaomi obtains using their facilities or services.

Along with the new MIUI 12 features, the manufacturer has also announced an official list of supported devices along with update dates.
