Since the beginning of this year, a bag of new information seems to have been torn open about the upcoming electric car of Xiaomi. We have again some photos of the covered electric car and information about the new infotainment.
We could already see the design of the model several times on Chinese streets, it was even driven by CEO Lei Jun himself. However, the electric car was still reliably camouflaged to avoid early exposure of its design.
Again, new photos reveal the rear of the electric car
But then we got leaked photos showing a render of the car in all its glory. It was there that we could notice the similarity with the future rival – Tesla Model 3.
In the images, we can mainly notice the rear part of the vehicle. It looks really sporty and unobtrusive. It looks similar to the electric version of the Ford Mustang, so it is wide and robust.
MIUI Car
We have one photo that looks through the glass into the interior of the vehicle. Here we see that it is not yet a final design. There is only a tangle of cables, a steering wheel and two displays, one behind the steering wheel and the other, larger one, is set in the center console.
Lei Jun himself recently mentioned that the main advantage of the electric car from Xiaomi should not be in the design, but in the operating system and infotainment. Right here we see a picture and an inscription on it MIUI Car. So, Xiaomi will stay true to the name of its superstructure over the Android operating system, which it uses in its smartphones and tablets.
However, it is still possible that these are the first plans that Xiaomi had and that they have nothing to do with the final development of the electric car.
However, we will find out the answer in a few months, when Lei Jun himself will show us this electric car with the name MS11 will officially present. The model should start production next year with a volume of 300 cars per year.
