Spoločnosť Xiaomi from time to time it will surprise you with a new product that it will offer within the e-commerce platform YouPin. The latest in a series of such products is handy massage pillow, which in addition to its relaxation functions will also offer stereo speakers and Bluetooth connectivity.
Smart pillow? Nothing impossible for Xiaomi
The smart pillow is made of 93% natural material (contains rubber), which has a very good ability to restore its original shape after possible deformation. The pillow is available in two sizes, men's and women's.
The men's is larger, measuring 60 cm x 34 cm x 7 cm / 11 cm and weighing 1,2 kg. The women's version measures 60 cm x 34 cm x 5 cm / 8 cm and weighs 1 kg.
The pillow model also contains a special shape for the neck of the user, who should lie on a heated mat. It will also contain three sources of impulses that should increase blood flow and relieve stress.
The pad will offer 6 different temperature settings in the range of 38 to 53 degrees Celsius and low frequency pulses up to 1000 Hz, which are harmless to the body. There will be 15 levels of intensity, including two extra modes for massage or acupuncture simulation.
Stereo speakers and Bluetooth
The pillow contains the two mentioned speakers, which is not visible, the music is transmitted to the auditory nerve by excitement through the bones of the skull. We could see a similar function with some smartphone models.
There is no Bluetooth interface for connecting to a smartphone (Android and iOS). It is possible to monitor sleep or get useful tips for sleep via the smartphone, it is also possible to set the automatic switch-off of the induction mode.
The intelligent pillow from Xiaomi is currently only available on the Chinese market for a price at the level of 299 yuan. This is approximately 38 eur / 972 CZK, however, the standard selling price is likely to be slightly higher.
