Sales of the global version of the latest Xiaomi Mi Band 4 are already in full swing and the first YouTubers are even getting it for review. One of the first video reviews was released in the Xiaomi community by the well-known Xiaomify.

The biggest upgrade so far
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is so far the largest upgrade in the line of Mi Band bracelets. Thanks for that 0,95 ″ color AMOLED display with a resolution of 240 x 120 px. The display, on the other hand, is in Mi Band 3 39,9% higher and it is also much clearer. maximum brightness is up to 400 rivets. According to the tester, this value is enough for good visibility in direct sunlight.
The battery, which from 110 mAh in Mi Band 3, also underwent a significant change increased to 135 mAh. Thanks to the larger battery, the endurance of the Mi Band 4 is still perfect - 20 days. The previous generation of bracelets is proud of the same endurance.
The dimensions and weight of both generations are very similar, but what has changed significantly is the charger. In the case of the Mi Band 4, it is a kind of cradle into which the main part with the display is inserted. The charging pins have been moved from the side to the bottom.
New functionality
A significant change in the Mi Band 4 is also a new 6-axis motion sensor, which allows the recording of several types of sports. In addition to swimming, the support also includes running, cycling and fast walking. There are notifications from applications, calendar or pedometer.
A novelty is the remote control of music on a connected smartphone. You can switch, pause, or resume songs and control the volume. Of course, there is sleep monitoring, the results of which are clearly displayed by the application.
Number of dials and swimming monitoring
Xiaomi Mi Band 4 works with the Mi Fit app, just like previous generations of bracelets. However, the Mi Band 4 offers a wide range of dials, up to 77 according to the manufacturer. Xiaomi is even constantly adding new dials, so the selection will be even larger.
In his video, Xiaomify did not forget to test one of the latest features that came in Mi Band 4 - swimming monitoring. He tested the shooting at a length of 500 meters and, according to him, the bracelet provides very relevant data.
Is Mi Band 4 suitable for an upgrade?
The most important thing in the end - the evaluation. So what is the Mi Band 4 really like and will the transition from previous generations pay off? Definitely yes. New features and capabilities bring quality closer originally a cheap fitness bracelet to the functionality of a much more expensive smart watch.
