In the Indian capital, Qualcomm has introduced 3 latest processors for the middle class of smarfons. These are specifically the Snapdragon 720G, Snapdragon 662 and Snapdragon 460. We already know which of the processors was the most successful.
Snapdragon 720G (SM7125)
The new 8 nm chip set has eight cores, which are arranged in a 2 + 6 manner. Twice a Cortex-A465-based Kryo 76 power core, these are ticking at 2,3 GHz. Six times Krytex 260 cores based on Cortex - A55, which clock at 1,8 GHz.
G at the end of the chipset designation indicates that the processor contains Elite Gaming features, which will especially provide players with an unforgettable experience thanks to HDR quality games and Qualcomm aptX adaptive sound.
The Snapdragon X800 LTE modem will ensure download speeds of up to 15 Mb / s. The processor supports Bluetooth 5.1, WIFI 6 and USB 3.1. Snapdragon 720G supports displays with a maximum resolution of 2520 x 1080 at 90 Hz or 120 Hz with HDR10.
Manufacturers can enable Quick Charge 4. In terms of memory, the chipset supports a maximum of 8 GB of RAM in combination with UFS 2.1 storage.
Snapdragon 662 (SM6115)
With this processor, Qualcomm emphasizes in particular the support for saving images in the HEIF format, which will allow the user to have better quality photos at half size. The 11 nm processor offers an 8x Kryo 260 core based on Cortex-A73 with a clock speed of 2 GHz in a uniform 4 + 4 arrangement.
It works with 3 computing processors: Adreno 610 GPU, Hexagon 683 AIE DSP and the video signal is transmitted by the Spectra 340T processor. The display resolution support for this model is 2220 x 1080 px at a frequency of 60 Hz. There is no support for emmC and UFS 2.1 storage.
When it comes to downloading data, the Snapdragon X11 LTE modem offers speeds of up to 390 Mbps and uplink speeds of up to 150 Mbps. Of course there is support for WIFI 6, Bluetooth 5.1. In addition, we also find dual-frequency GPS and NavlC. Snapdragon 662 offers Quick Charge 3.0.
Snapdragon 460 (SM4250-AA)
Finally, we have a successor to the Snapdragon 450 model, the manufacturer promises a twofold increase in performance compared to the previous model. The 11 nm processor has 8 Kryo 240 cores under the 1,8 GHz baton, these are paired with the Adreno 610 GPU processor with Vulkan 1.1 support.
Here, too, Qualcomm promises a 70% increase in performance over the previous generation. The maximum display resolution is 2220 x 1080 px with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Snapdragon 460 offers support for Emmc and UFS 2.1 storage.
As for photos, this model has Hexagon 682 AIE DSP and Spectra 340 ISP processors with support for storing photos in HEIF format. A big advantage of the Snapdragon 460 is that it is the first processor in the 400 series to feature Qualcomm FastConnect 6100 technology. This will ensure maximum performance and better battery life.
There is no support for WIFI 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 as with previous models. In terms of upload and download speeds, the Snapdragon X11 LTE modem offers the same capabilities as the previous Snapdragon 662.
What all 3 news have in common is the dual frequency GPS and Indian satellite NavlC system. Snapdragon 460 supports Quick Charge 3.0.
Xiaomi has already announced a new smartphone
