Chinese Xiaomi is not idle even in the last days of this year and quietly introduces its new affordable smartphone with the name Redmi 12C. It is particularly interesting due to its low selling price, as well as the interesting design processing of the structure.
Redmi 12C: These are the technical specifications
Xiaomi brings a new smartphone under the wings of its subsidiary brand Redmi. This device is called Redmi 12C and, like other models of this brand, it offers a very good price-performance ratio.
In terms of design, it offers a plastic version that slightly resembles model A1 with pure Android system. However, it has interesting textured bands on the back and pastel color combinations.
HD+ display, 50 MPx camera and 5000 mAh battery
There is a flat LCD display with a diagonal on the front 6,71" and HD+ resolution (1650 x 720 pixels). It also has fairly prominent frames around the display in black and the front camera made in a cut-out in the display, which has the shape of a drop and is located in the upper edge.
On the performance side, there is a mid-range processor named MediaTek Helio G85. It is supplemented with LPDDR4X type RAM as well as internal "flash" storage type eMMC 5.1. The low weight of 192 grams and thickness of only 8,77 mm is also a big advantage.
The back is home to a prominent camera module that includes a pair of sensors, as well as an integrated LED flash and a standard capacitive fingerprint sensor. When it comes to cameras, the main one offers resolution 50 MPx. The front camera has consequently 5 MPx.
We can mention other equipment 4G / LTE mobile connection (smartphone does not support 5G connection), as well as 5000 mAh integrated accumulator. The smartphone supports 10W charging and the charger will be located directly in the package. In addition, it also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections, as well as a practical 3,5 mm connector for connecting headphones.
Price and availability of the new Redmi smartphone
Redmi 12C is starting to be sold today exclusively on the Chinese market. We do not yet have any further information on the eventual global availability of this device. These are the official selling prices in conversion, in individual configurations:
- 4 GB RAM + 64 GB from 699 Chinese yuan (approx. 101 USD)
- 4 GB RAM + 128 GB from 799 Chinese yuan (approx. 115 USD)
- 6 GB RAM + 128 GB from 899 Chinese yuan (approx. 130 USD)
