New smartphones come with increasingly faster and more efficient charging. The subsidiary brand of the Chinese giant also knows about it Xiaomi, company Redmi, which demonstrates ultra-fast charging with performance up to 300 W. You can reach full capacity in just 5 minutes.
Redmi has ultra-fast 300W charging
Within the Xiaomi brands, Redmi is known for equipping its devices in the Chinese market with the best possible specifications. This is also evidenced by the flagship functions in the middle class, such as equipment Redmi Note 11 Pro+.
Now this bold and young Chinese company has reached a new milestone in the field of charging speed. Indeed, when launching the Redmi Note 12 Pro Explorer Edition, the company configured its smartphone to support the theoretical charging speed up to 300 W. Thanks to the integrated technology, it will surpass even the previous holder, the Realme smartphone with a power of 240 W.
Full capacity in less than five minutes of charging
In Xiaomi's laboratory, the smartphone was modified for testing purposes Redmi Note 12 Pro Explorer Edition. To test the high charging performance in a controlled environment, the battery value of this model was reduced from 4500 mAh to 4100 mAh.
In a video shared by the company on the Chinese social network Weibo, we can see the device connected to the new powerful charger. There is also a look at the screen that shows us the charging performance during the five minutes it takes to charge this modified Redmi Note 12 Pro model.
This Redmi smartphone offers 50% charge for 2 minutes and 11 seconds. What was unimaginable a few years ago is now becoming a reality. Consider, for example, the Xiaomi 11T Pro model, which offered Xiaomi HyperCharge technology with a power of 120 W. This technology offered the full capacity of the 5000 mAh battery in about 17 minutes.
Charger size unchanged
The truth is that, despite the fact that with a power of 300 W, the mentioned smartphone charges in less than 5 minutes, the charging speed reaches the value 290 W just for a few seconds. However, the company confirms that the GaN charger as well as the device's battery are ready for the 300W peak power they promise.
The size of this ultra-fast charger remains unchanged. It is comparable to the 210 W charger in the package of the original device Redmi Note 12 Pro Explorer Edition. In addition, Redmi assures that more than 50 different protection elements against high voltage, high temperature, short circuit, etc. are used during charging.
Xiaomi has not yet released information on when it will officially launch this technology on the market. However, it is very likely that at least one device with the ability to charge to full capacity within five minutes will appear within the year, at least on the Chinese market.
