Finally a real successor!
From the time of the model Redmi 4 to Redmi 4X, which was a great success, Xiaomi did not present us with a suitable successor. Redmi 5 to Redmi 6 were not so impressed. Redmi 7 however, it will change. New videos have appeared on YouTube that show Redmi 7 in all its glory and reveal all its specifications. And we have a lot to look forward to.
In terms of design, it can be seen that the smartphone is focused on affordability. The back is made of glossy plastic, which got modern gradient coating. It is located in front 6,26 ″ IPS HD + display with the same cutout as in the case Redmi Footnote 7.
Cheap smartphone, great performance
Redmi 7 will drive Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor that integrates 8 x Kryo 260 cores. The processor is clocked at 1,8 GHz and is assisted in graphical calculations by the Adreno 506 chip. In AnTuT, this chipset achieved a very decent score via 101 thousand points. Compared to last year's fiasco with MediaTek chipsets, this is finally a real upgrade.
As for the memory, a version of s appeared in the videos 3 GB RAM a 64 GB storage. The good news is that there will also be a slot for microSD cards. Redmi 7 will get a slot for two SIM cards and another separate slot for microSD.
The equipment also includes dual 12 MPx + 8 MPx rear camera with artificial intelligence and aperture f / 2.2. A nice surprise is the presence of a decent 4000 mAh battery. Due to the lower video resolution and economical processor, it can Redmi 7 to offer really long lasting power. The 3,5 mm jack and IR Blaster were not forgotten either.
The estimated price tag will please
In addition to the design and specifications, the estimated YouTube price tag also appeared in the leaked YouTube videos. Due to the Vietnamese origin of the authors, we learned the price for the Vietnamese market. After conversion, it is based on 115 € / CZK 3000. It is already clear that the price on the Slovak and Czech markets will be somewhat higher. We estimate it at 160-170 € / 4000 – 4400 CZK.
