A report on a Chinese website focusing on microbloggers has only recently revealed further leaks. This report revealed a new variant of the smartphone with the designation Redmi K30 Ultra, which should offer a flagship processor MediaTek Dimensity 1000+.
According to the leaks from Digital Chat Station, the current K40 model will be the first in the current product line. It is to be introduced in the aforementioned fourth quarter of 2020. While the model Redmi K40 Pro as a representative of flagship models will come later, specifically in the first quarter of 2021.
From the available information, it is therefore assumed that the basic model Redmi K40 will include a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 (SM7350), while the better equipped Redmi K40 Pro model offers a flagship and yet unlisted Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 (SM8350).
