This is an expected novelty, which was created in cooperation with the Formula 1 team - Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 Team. The equipment of this device includes powerful hardware, physical game buttons, as well as optimized software in the form of the current version of the graphical superstructure MIUI 13 from the company Xiaomi.

The purchase was made through TradingShenzhen on February 25, when we paid the order. On February 28, we received a shipping confirmation along with the shipment tracking number in our e-mail.
The smartphone was delivered to us on March 16 and the net delivery time according to the 17Track service is 15 days. Given the delivery from faraway China, this is a decent delivery time, although we have already experienced a half-shorter delivery of packages from TSZ.
The smartphone arrived flawlessly wrapped and again with extra gifts. In addition to the classic drawer reduction, we also received two lego packages, nice attention 🙂 The smartphone itself has an interestingly developed package, which only enhances the specialty of this Mercedes AMG version.
The package folds up, after unfolding, the phone itself can be seen immediately. The charger and cable accessories are hidden in the bottom drawer. There is also a protective cover in the package and the phone comes with a pre-installed foil on the display.
In reality, the design of this piece is even more beautiful than in the photos. We also appreciate the robust metal construction with a really high-quality workmanship, which is felt immediately after the first grip. As it is a real gaming smartphone, the manufacturer also managed to incorporate physical pop-up game "triggers" into the design.

Chinese version without B20 LTE band
In the offer of the TradingShenzhen seller, we can find only the Chinese version of the smartphone, since the global one has not yet been presented. Disadvantages for some users may be the fact that Chinese versions Redmi The K50 Gaming Edition does not support the B20 LTE band, which is used in Europe for LTE signal transmission outside cities, that is, in villages.
In the city, LTE connection will work without problems, out of town, the smartphone will probably only be connected to 3G. Another important fact is language support - the Chinese version includes Chinese and English only. This will be solved later by the modified Xiaomi.EU system, which will also be available for the model Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. This was confirmed directly by the founder of the Miuios.cz community.
Despite the fact that it is a Chinese version, we have already ordered the phone, even in a special AMG edition, in which it looks really unreal. As soon as we arrive, we publish a detailed review on our websites.

Right at the beginning of the press conference, Rob Thomas, Mercedes AMG team leader Petronas, introduced himself. He confirmed the cooperation of brands Redmi a Mercedes AMG in the field of smartphones. The result is also limited edition new smartphone, just in the team colors of Mercedes. However, let's move on to the smartphone itself, whose design has been the subject of numerous leaks of information.
According to the brand, the square metal body was Redmi inspired by a futuristic sports car. It is relatively thin, has only 8,5 mm and is part of the metal construction magnetic game buttons, integrated in the side edge, with appropriate switches (buttons can be hidden in the structure itself). These game buttons have an improved haptic response, which you will especially appreciate in action games.
The display has a diagonal 6,67" a Full HD + resolution. But that's not all, AMOLED panel offers high refresh rate up to 120 Hz, sampling frequency up to 480 Hz a DCI-P3 color gamut. There is a lack of technology support HDR 10 +, MEMC or quality Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass.
The manufacturer also boasted that it is a flat screen, with calibration at the level of a game monitor and A + rating from the workshop-famous Display Mate portal.

In terms of software, the manufacturer built on its latest graphic superstructure with the label MIUI 13. The battery has capacity 4700 mAh and supports fast charging with power up to 120 W (charging to full capacity will only take 17 minutes). The ultra-fast 120 W charger has a new one gallium nitride technology and together with the USB type C power cable is included in the price of the smartphone, so it is part of the package of this device.
Traditionally, the Chinese manufacturer has prepared an optional external accessory made for us for the K50 Gaming Edition. It is external cooler or a special magnetic shell to the back, which has the task of dissipating heat.
This is what the imitation edition called Redmi K50 Gaming Edition Mercedes AMG Petronas. Only 10 pieces will be produced, so this is a really limited smartphone for real fans. It can be said that it will be a collector's item.

We do not yet know if this AMG version will also be in the global version. K50 Gaming Edition is a model for China, in Europe it is to be sold under the name POCO F4 GT, but in what versions it will come and when we don't know yet. For Chinese Redmi K50 Gaming Edition will be available local Xiaomi.EU ROM later, where there is CZ language and full integration of Google apps. But the network will still remain without B2O support.
