Subsidiary brand of Xiaomi, Chinese Redmi, brings its new series of flagship smartphones for 2023, consisting of Redmi K60 a Redmi K60 Pro. It offers top-of-the-line equipment with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, as well as very good battery life. All this is complemented by a reasonable selling price.
Redmi K60 Pro: These are the technical specifications
To be specific, a pair of smartphones Redmi K60 a Redmi K60 Pro differs in price as well as some technical specifications. On the contrary, the pair are very similar. Rounded metal edges are complemented by a prominent rear camera module, which has a rectangular shape. A big improvement is the fingerprint sensor located under the surface of the display.
The more expensive of the two offers a premium 6,67" 2K display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a maximum brightness of up to 1400 nits, 68,7 billion colors or a P3 color gamut. Performance will be provided by the hierarchically most powerful processor from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This chip will also be supplemented with LPDDR5 RAM memory and UFS 4.0 storage. There is also Vapor Chamber cooling with a size of up to 5000 mm².
On the back there is a prominent module with three sensors. The primary camera is a Sony IMX800 with a resolution of 50 MPx and optical or electronic image stabilization. It is also complemented by an 8 MPx ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2 MPx depth sensor for background blur. The front camera has 16 MPx and is located in the recess in the display.
Among other functions, we can mention DualSIM, 5G connection, dual Wi-Fi connection, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS or NFC technology and USB type C. The new MIUI 14 graphic superstructure built on the Android 13 operating system will also please you. The smartphone offers a 5000 mAh battery with 120 W by ultra-fast wired charging and 30 W fast wireless charging.
The Redmi K60 is cheaper, but has a few compromises
If we look at the more affordable, basic model Redmi K60, it offers slightly different equipment. On the front, there is a 6,67″ 2K display with a brightness of 1400 nits, 68,7 billion colors, P3 color gamut and PWM dimming at 1920 Hz. This model also offers a fingerprint sensor below the display level.
The difference comes in the processor, where it offers a slightly older but still very powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 model. This processor is also supplemented with LPDDR5 RAM and fast UFS 3.1 storage. In terms of software, it offers MIUI 14, i.e. a superstructure that is built on the Android 13 operating system.
Other equipment includes a 60 MPx primary camera with optical stabilization, an 8 MPx ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2 MPx macro sensor. Vlajkov is powered by a 5500mAh battery, while supporting 67W fast wired charging as well as 30W wireless charging.
