The increasingly popular Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, already has several interesting smartphones on its account this year. Not only flagships but also middle-class smartphones have captivated millions of brand fans around the world.
Perhaps the biggest rivals from the same workshop are now Redmi Note 7 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. Two pieces between which many people cannot decide. If you are among them, this speed test could help you.
Very close duel
Redmi Note 7 Pro vs. Xiaomi Mi 9 SE faced each other in the application opening speed test. The RAM management was also tested in the test, which did not turn out the best and more demanding games were reopened by both smartphones. In order not to unnecessarily "spoil" you for how this duel turned out, watch the video first.
So what, surprised or disappointed? We think that both smartphones do a perfect job and the fight ended in a really close result in favor of the Mi 9 SE. In a better time, he signed a slightly more powerful Snapdragon 712. Although he performed in the test Redmi Note 7 Pro with 4 GB RAM against Mi 9 SE with 6 GB RAM, the size of the RAM did not play a big role in this case.
Both smartphones had a problem keeping in mind the more demanding games PUBG and Temple Run 2, which opened anew after restarting. The first round ended really very close, with a difference of less than three tenths of a second.
In the second round, video rendering and other more demanding applications were tested. The Render of the video was won by the Mi 9 SE, thanks to the higher beat of the Snapdragon 712. It gained a lead of up to 9 seconds for the Mi 6 SE in the first half of the second round. The entire second round was won by the Mi 9 SE, which overcame all tasks 4 seconds faster.
Who is the winner?
Although Snapdragon 712 does not have much on the benchmarks compared to Snapdragon 675, the difference in reality is noticeable. Faster clock frequency cores, in particular 2,3 GHz compared to 2,0 GHz, it wins especially when processing more demanding tasks, such as video rendering. It is easier to handle even more demanding games.
The speed test between Redmi Note 7 and Mi 9 SE again proved that the results of the benchmarks do not show the real performance of smartphones. In the AnTuT test in the video, Redmi Note 7 Pro scored even higher than the Mi 9 SE. In reality, the Snapdragon 712 is slightly more powerful than the Snapdragon 675, which, however, steps on his heels.
Assessment: Both smartphones offer very decent performance, which in real use will suffice for every, even the most demanding user. Redmi Note 7 Pro is very tight with the performance on the Mi 9 SE. Price difference approximately 70 € / 2000 CZK plays into the carat of the Redmi Note 7 Pro, if we focus hard on the price-performance ratio.
In this comparison, however, we do not take into account the performance of the cameras or battery life, which is for further discussion.
