New information has emerged about the long-awaited first tablet from Redmi. The reports refer to the used processor, which has not yet been officially introduced.
It was said that Redmi Pad it will arrive alongside the larger Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 tablet, but it didn't happen. Therefore, we currently do not know when the performance itself could take place. Apparently together with a new generation tablet called Xiaomi Pad 6.
New processor from MediaTek
New information was brought by the portal MIUI Polska via the well-known whistleblower Kacper Skrzypek, who discovered that the Redmi tablet should be powered by a new MediaTek processor. It has a code designation MT8781.
So we don't know its commercial designation, but according to the description it is a manufactured processor 6-nanometer production technology. It will be the graphics unit Small G57 MC2. It is used by many smartphones in the middle class.
#RedmiPad will feature the new MediaTek CPU MT8781. I don't know what's a marketing name, but the specs are very similar to Helio G99: 2x A76+6x A55, Mali G57 MC2, LPDDR4X, eMMC 5.1/UFS 2.2 (there's a choice), Wi-Fi 5, BT 5.2 , max 1200x2000px display.

As for the processor specifications themselves, they are very similar to the model Helio G99. It should also be in the upcoming POCO smartphones, specifically the M5 and M5 Pro models.
What do we expect next?
The rest of the specs have already been revealed, so we expect 10-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2 x 000 pixels, Wi-Fi 5 a Bluetooth 5.2. In addition, it is currently unknown whether the manufacturer will choose eMMC or IFS 2.2 storage.
There is also talk of 6 GB RAM and support up to 67-watt charging. We should wait even 5G model. We don't know much about the price, but it could be somewhere on the level 260 EUR, which would definitely be interesting.
Rather, it will be a less powerful and poorer sibling of advanced Xiaomi tablets. There is still a question as to whether we will even see it on the global market, but this possibility is still in play. However, we definitely have something to look forward to.
