It seems that 2023 will definitely not be a record year for smartphone sales. This is also confirmed by many analysts. These declining sales will affect many companies, Xiaomi among them.
Xiaomi is facing a difficult year
Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who mostly predicts Apple products, said that Xiaomi will be one of the companies most likely to notice this trend.
According to his analysis of Xiaomi's smartphone shipments year-on-year fall by 8 to 10%. Overall, it should be 140 million units, which is 10 to 25 million units less compared to 2022.

For this reason, Xiaomi is already adjusting its production schedule to achieve the greatest possible cost efficiency. According to the analyst, the company will produce 23-25 million units during the first quarter, and production will decrease to 20-23 million units in the second quarter.
The various companies that sell smartphones around the world are in for a rather complicated year in 2023. We don't yet know what the consequences will be for users. Apparently, we are expecting another increase in price to cover up financial losses.
Xiaomi 13 series price increase
Of course, this trend does not only apply to Xiaomi, but also to other manufacturers. The unfavorable price trend also affected the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
The alleged price increase will not bypass the Xiaomi 13 series, which will be presented February 26 before the MWC fair in Barcelona. Prices should even be higher than the Galaxy S23, which is definitely not good news. The basic Xiaomi 13 should stand from 999 euros, Pro model from 1 euros.

In addition to the design and packaging, the price of the upcoming product was also leaked to the Internet Xiaomi 13Lite. It should move at a level 549 EUR, which is definitely not enough. Otherwise, it will be a global smartphone model Xiaomi Mi 2.

People don't buy smartphones because of inflation and lack of funds and they decide to hide their losses by raising prices, very good move!😁 I like the Xiaomi brand, but lately they don't know what to ask for their products.🤨
