Xiaomi has a very wide portfolio of products, which is constantly growing and includes drones. He has been involved in the field of drones since 2014 through his subsidiary FIMI.
This brand is, for example, behind the production of the first Xiaomi drone, which was also available in FullHD and 4K versions. It also produces quality gimbals for Xiaomi.
We are probably preparing the first SK / CZ review
At the end of last year, FIMI came up with its own folding 4K drone FIMI X8 SE. The drone has been on the market for a long time and you may already own it, but we nevertheless decided to buy and test it. There is currently probably no review of this drone on the Slovak and Czech internet.

Before we publish the review itself, we give you room to ask questions. Anything you are interested in about this drone, you can ask us in the comments here under the article. We will answer your questions either directly in the comments or in the review.
Everything about flying with a drone in Slovakia and the necessary licenses will be answered in the review, so we will not answer questions of this type unnecessarily.
Our first impressions - flying with it is fun!
Flying a drone FIMI X8 SE is incredible fun. It is true that we have the first experience with a drone, and we cannot deny that it started to entertain us immediately. We have an even stronger experience.
We won't hide the fact that we needed instructions at initial launch. However, it is very easy to start, just press and hold the button on the battery and the remote control for 2 seconds. The drone is activated immediately. You will also need your smartphone with the application installed to control the drone FIMI Ships.
In addition to live HD view from the camera, the application provides you with a wide range of information, including height, exact position of the drone, battery status, signal strength and all possible video parameter settings. We will take all this in our detailed review.
Sophisticated auxiliary systems
As this is our first experience with a drone, we were less concerned about the difficulty of flying. However, these were not necessary. Flying a drone is a toy. FIMI X8 SE contains intelligent systems that help the user incredibly.
He can take off and land himself, he can "hover" on the spot, ie maintain a stable position. You just control the height and direction. If you don't want to fly back with the drone, just switch one button on the remote control and it will automatically return to the position from which it took off.
The drone is therefore equipped with a very precise positioning GPS + Glonass system, which can even be used to rescue people, for example in the mountains. This is done by a special SAR (Search and Rescue) mode - more about it in the review.
Very compact body and beautiful 4K video
Despite the number of functions, the FIMI X8 SE design is very compact, only slightly larger than a human palm. Compactness is also ensured by the folding arms that adhere to the drone body. The construction also includes a 3-axis mechanical gimbal with a quality 4K camera.
Gimbal ensures very smooth video, while the 12 MPx Sony IMX378 sensor will take care of really sharp images. 4K video recording takes place at 30 fps with a high bitrate of 100 Mbps. Our own video is in preparation, but for now you can watch one of the videos on the official FIMI YouTube channel.
The FIMI X8 SE is packed with photographic features, whether it's tracking an object in motion, the ability to plan a route to shoot video, create a panorama and much more. Of course, it is possible to save video in RAW format for additional post-processing.
All details about FIMI X8 SE will be published in our detailed review in a few days.
Hello, can I ask if it is possible to take a signal from a controller or directly from a drone to a computer or laptop so that the image can be streamed in real time?
Hello. I wanted to ask, I own a Fimo X8 SE 2020. Lately, the automatic return home function has stopped working even though the satellite reception is good. And a week ago I found out that it doesn't even load the application that was working properly
