Earlier this year, Xiaomi introduced to the world the thirteenth generation of the popular MIUI superstructure. MIUI 13 offers several improvements related to a smoother and faster environment, while not forgetting the really necessary visual changes in places.
In today's article, we will introduce you to some interesting news that you can look forward to along with the arrival of MIUI version 13.5. The list of changes described below is based on the beta version of MIUI 13 with the designation 22.6.17.
Design-improved pop-ups in MIUI 13.5
The screenshot below is an exact example of new visual changes related to pop-ups. The new windows will be more rounded at the corners, without any wall touching the full edge of the screen.
The second screenshot reveals a redesigned widget menu, which will show more accurate views after the new one, while not forgetting the practical search box. This eliminates the need to manually scroll through the list of widgets.
Audio recording and smart devices
The developers of the new version of the superstructure will also come up with a novelty, due to which it will no longer be possible to record sound in incognito mode. For example, this is one way to increase security and privacy in our Xiaomi smartphones.
With the ever-expanding smart world, Xiaomi decided to slightly improve the menu of smart devices in the control center. Selecting and adding a new device will be much easier and more intuitive after the new one.
Floating notifications and update installation
New floating notifications have also been implemented in the new beta to display current events in background applications. Unfortunately, the new floating notifications are currently only available for Xiaomi folding smartphones.
Finally, we experienced another visual change, which in this case will concern the section of installing system application updates. The environment has once again been given a slightly more beautiful and minimalist look, which is definitely a welcome change.
We will continue to monitor the entire situation around the MIUI 13.5 superstructure closely and then publish all the news on our Xiaomi Planet technology portal.
