Built-in application ShareMe from a Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, which is understandably part of the graphic superstructure MIUI, offers you really wide file sharing options. Now you can also view the files on your computer via FTP storage.
ShareMe also displays files on your PC
Many of us send and receive files practically on a daily basis through our personal computer. However, not everyone knows that there is also a more convenient way to view files like this USB-C cable. Wireless transmission is available via the built-in ShareMe application from Xiaomi.
Thanks to this function, transferring files between PC and smartphone will be much easier, while all you need is the same Wi-Fi connection and setup FTP storage. And considering that it is a built-in application, you can use it on all Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices with the current software version.
It only takes a few simple steps
- Open the ShareMe app on your smartphone
- In the menu in the upper right part of the screen, select the "Share with PC" function
- In the lower part of the screen, then click on the "Start" option
- For greater security, select the "Password protected" function
After creating a username and password, your storage is ready for use. You will see the FTP storage address on the screen. Now you can move to your computer for setup FTP storage.
- You can enter the generated address in a web browser (Google Chrome is recommended for proper operation)
- Alternatively, you can enter it through the file browser in your Windows or through the Finder on the Mac platform
- The computer will prompt you to enter the username and password for your FTP storage
- It will then show you a folder with your files from your smartphone and you can get to work
