Xiaomi has not yet made a definitive point behind the 12 series, although it should show it next month followers. We are talking specifically about the lightweight Lite model, which will probably arrive on the market in one more configuration with a label Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G.
With a word connection Lite 5G NO we first came into contact last year, when Xiaomi made a similar move with the model Mi 11 Lite 4G/5G. The processor was mainly improved, while all other parameters were preserved.
Xiaomi Civi 2 for the global market?
This not-yet-presented model was spotted in IMEI database. A very interesting revelation is that the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE smartphone is supposed to be the global version of the model Xiaomi Mi 2, which is only available for the domestic Chinese market.
The new model was registered in the IMEI database under the model number 2209129SC, which indicates a model for the Chinese market, but it was also spotted in a certification unit IMDA in Singapore and Central and Eastern Europe, so we know for sure that it will also reach the global market. The global version should carry the model number 2209129SG.
Three memory variants and Android 13
The certifications also revealed that it will come to the market in three memory variants, namely 6+128 GB, 8+128 GB and 8+256 GB. But that's not all, in addition it will have support for 5G.
The equipment will include dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC and Android 13 with superstructure MIUI 13. It is definitely interesting, since Android 13 should already be connected to the superstructure MIUI 14. Apparently, the company wants to leave this new superstructure as an exclusivity first with the Xiaomi 13 series smartphone.
If the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G NE smartphone was really based on the Xiaomi Civi 2, we expect 6,55-inch AMOLED panel with 120-hertz refresh rate, processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen1 and the main one 50-megapixel camera together with 67-watt charging.
