Another of the technological gems from the Chinese brand Xiaomi has arrived in our editorial office. We ordered the unique Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, which can only be obtained in very limited quantities so far, in the best Chinese e-shop and have been testing it for you for several days.

We are also not afraid of models that are intended only for the Chinese market, and we regularly check whether they can be used in our region.
Since the global version of the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is still in sight and there are no rumors about it, we did not hesitate to order the Chinese version from TradingShenzhen as soon as possible. Our purchase took place on August 19.8, which was at a time when the MIX Fold 2 was not available in stock.
Therefore, our package was sent only on August 29, when we also received a tracking number in our e-mail. The delivery itself took only 9 DAYS, which considering the fact that the package traveled from as far away as China, is a great result! We already mentioned at the beginning of the article that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is currently only available in the Chinese version, but this time the manufacturer has integrated full network support for Europe into the smartphone. It is a rather surprising decision, since this year's generation of Chinese flagships from Xiaomi did not have such extensive network support.
The equipment includes the B20 LTE band, which is widely used in Slovakia, as well as complete support for 5th generation networks. However, what may not suit everyone is the system.
On the software side, the Chinese version is equipped with the Chinese version of the MIUI Fold superstructure, which means that you will find only two primary languages in the system – Chinese and English. In addition, there are several pre-installed Chinese apps on the phone, but 90% of them can be uninstalled without any problems.
During use, it may happen that you come across Chinese in the system, but this is rather sporadic and also with functions that are not usable in our country. It is easy to live with and function on a daily basis. If these small flaws don't bother you, then the smartphone will suit you perfectly.
The seller also installs Google applications into the system, which are fully functional and you can happily install your favorite applications. So far, we have managed to try out Netflix and YouTube, which work perfectly, and watching movies or videos on the large folding 8,02″ LTPO AMOLED display with 2K+ resolution is a real passion.
The very sad news is that for the MIX Fold 2 the famous Xiaomi.EU ROM will not be available, which was confirmed by the founder of the Czech-Slovak forum Miuios.cz. This smartphone contains a different version of MIUI than the one found in regular smartphones, and the translator team, unfortunately, does not have the resources or time to translate.
