Chinese brand Xiaomi is preparing its new series of powerful flagship smartphones under the label Xiaomi 13. And we already know details about displays, which should be part of these devices. This has been outlined by new leaks.
Xiaomi 13: It will offer such display panels
Every week we witness new and new information leaks. Now it's the smartphone's turn Xiaomi 13 a Xiaomi 13 Pro, specifically their display panels. Indeed, a verified source Digital Chat Station brought the classified information through its account on the Chinese social network Weibo:
“Straight and curved screens are relatively narrow. The new assembly technology is very useful. They are also solutions with a one-shot design (for the front camera, editor's note), with eye protection dimming, 2K resolution and LTPO technology.”
The report brings us a lot of new information that we need to take a closer look at. The source also talks about the chipset SM8550. This codename refers to the latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which should be launched later this year.
If we take into account the information from Digital Chat Station and consider it 100% correct, in addition to the model, we already know the assembly technology. However, it is not the assembly of the product itself, but the technology with the name COP.
Xiaomi CIVI was the first smartphone with this technology and a new model Xiaomi 13 would thus use the same second-generation technology, similar to Xiaomi CIVI 1S. This technology consists in folding the edges of the panel, to reduce the outer frames around the screen, thus obtaining an even larger ratio of the screen to the front wall of the device.
2K resolution, AMOLED technology and also LTPO
We also know that the screen will offer one opening or bullet point in the display. This gives us key information about the front "selfie" camera, which will include a single sensor. We can also rule out the presence of a possible pair of sensors, as was the case with some previous Xiaomi, Huawei or Google smartphones. In addition, we can rule out the possibility of a camera under the display.
The panel it should be Samsung AMOLED E6, according to available information, should reach maximum brightness up to 2000 rivets. Thanks to this step, we should get up to 25% better contrast compared to the previous generation. 2K resolution and certification will not be missing either TUV Rheinland. This means it will have anti-flicker and low blue light.
In addition, it will also offer LTPO technology. LTPO stands for Low Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide and refers to the type of technology used to make these screens. These screens bring the ability dynamic refresh rate (from 1 Hz to 120 Hz), which achieves much higher energy efficiency.
Battery life can be a pleasant surprise. The assumption is that the entire series of smartphones will offer this technology, that is Xiaomi 13, but also Xiaomi 13 Pro.
