As announced, Xiaomi organized today, September 9.9.2019, XNUMX Xiaomi 5G Conference with innovations in 5G technology. We were introduced to new technologies of fast wireless charging, which will be key when using 5G networks.
The manufacturer has also officially announced a new 5G smartphone called Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G.
30W wireless charging, also reverse charging
The new wireless charging comes under the name Mi Turbo Charge and its wireless technology should also surpass standard wired charging. After the new one, charging will not only support 20 or 27 W, but now 30 W.
In this way, it is possible to charge a 4000 mAh battery in half in as little as 25 minutes. Full capacity then in 70 minutes.
Another novelty is the arrival 10 W reverse wireless charging. Following the example of competing smartphones, simply attach a second smartphone or optional accessory to the back of the device. For example, the manufacturer declares that the iPhone XS can be charged up to 30% in 20 minutes, and this is definitely not a bad result.
Optional accessories are missing
Among other products, new products in the optional accessories segment were also revealed. Fast wireless charging also requires a powerful charging pad that can handle such charging. And it is Xiaomi who is now coming up with a charging stand for 30 W wireless charging of the smartphone, which also includes a cooling fan.
In addition to the stand, the manufacturer also mentions another interesting item with support for 20W wireless charging and a small display, for example to display the time or percentage of the battery. Both pieces will be a great addition to the upcoming 5G smartphones, which will be even more demanding to use the battery.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G
The press conference also included the famous "One More Thing", in the form of a sketch 40 W wireless charging. However, it has not yet been officially introduced and will probably become part of the upcoming 5G smartphone.
The team will be a model Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G, which will be improved in terms of performance and battery. The smartphone will offer 4 types of charging (wired and wireless, including reverse) and 5G technology.
In addition, the manufacturer has demonstrated 100 W ultra-fast charging as a leader in charging technology, which charges a 4000 mAh battery in a record 17 minutes. The introduction of this concept will take on real contours in the near future.
