Xiaomi has a new version of the Notes application, where you can also make sketches. It is available for download

Xiaomi has introduced a new version of the notes application, which brings an interesting feature. The new Xiaomi notes app lets you do sketches a to draw into pictures. Tools such as pencil, pen, spray and more are available.

Sketches and drawings into pictures

Xiaomi notes application after this update has a sketching feature. This feature is certainly well known to users of phones from a series of competing Korean brands that have a pen.

You can also take notes with an external pen (suitable for touch screens) or your finger. But you will use this novelty more to create sketches, or if you want to mark something in someone's picture.

We tested the application

We installed the application on the phone from the series Redmi Notes. After opening the notes application, you will be greeted by a short guide to what's new. When you add a new note, you will see an icon for sketches.

After selecting this option, a window with available tools will appear. You will find a pencil, spray, marker, pen, eraser, text box and the possibility of inserting a picture.

With drawing tools, you have a choice of color and thickness of drawing. With rubber, you can choose whether you want to delete the entire object or erase it classically.

For images, you can insert an image from the gallery. Once inserted, you have all the tools available again.

A new version of the application (2.3.8), which brings the ability to create sketches and draw into images is now available for download. You can download it from this link.

But don't forget to allow installation from unknown sources, because otherwise the system will not allow you to install the application from an .apk file for security reasons.

Please note that this is a version for Chinese ROM. Because of this, some features may not work correctly. When saving the sketch, or when inserting a text field into the sketch, we noticed texts in Chinese.

Although the application is not completely in Slovak or English, it is definitely usable and you can use the sketch function even now.

However, the Xiaomi Notes application will certainly soon be updated for our global ROMs as well. But if you don't want to wait, as we mentioned above, you can test the application right away.
