The company Xiaomi participated in the MWC fair in Barcelona, where, among other things, it also presented global models Xiaomi 13 series. In addition, it also managed to overtake Apple, because it introduced its own glasses with augmented reality.
Two microLED displays
Specifically, these are glasses with a name Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition. It is the first augmented reality headset from Xiaomi. In terms of functionality, it is somewhere between the Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses and the upcoming Apple headset.

They have glasses from Xiaomi two microLED displays, which the manufacturer claims are retina-level displays with superior pixel density.
High performance and gesture control
There will be no shortage of performance here, the processor takes care of that Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1, which also powers competing models of smart glasses.
The really cool thing is that they come with gesture controls that you will be able to perform in front of your eyes and the cameras along with the sensors in the glasses will record them and carry out the given instructions.

Xiaomi showed some examples of how this could work in real life. Users should be able to select and open apps, browse pages, and exit apps without using a smartphone.
Examples of use included watching videos on TikTok or YouTube, so you can turn the glasses into something like a portable cinema. The glasses will also serve to control smart home devices.
Will they even go on sale?
Despite this, the glasses from Xiaomi still look like regular glasses. Thanks to the magnesium-lithium alloy construction and the use of carbon fiber, they weigh 128 grams, which is not the least for glasses.
However, we do not yet have any information about whether this product will ever actually reach the market or whether Xiaomi is just demonstrating its progress with it and wanted to overtake Apple, at least in this way.
