MIUI 12 it came only recently and Xiaomi did not forget about the long-awaited update even on older models from its portfolio. Since September, however, some smartphones will lose official support by Xiaomi regarding system updates.
Support ends with multiple Xiaomi smartphones
Day D has already come, specifically 5. September. This day has lost support for future MIUI updates up to 8 smartphones from Xiaomi. The update also includes beta versions and security patches.
These are the following 8 smartphones:
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite
- Xiaomi Mi 8 SE
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 8
- Xiaomi Mi 8 Transparent Edition
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
- Xiaomi Mi Mix 3
- Xiaomi Mi Max 3
This is a fairly long list, given that there is also a popular flagship from 2018 in the form of My 8, or still the latest model from the Mix series, in the form of Mi Mix 3.
They have served theirs and despite the absence of other updates, they are still great smartphones.
No MIUI 13 or Android 11
Of course, Xiaomi won't stop with necessary updateswhich will be repaired more serious errorsaffecting the daily use of your smartphone. The smartphones mentioned above, however they will not get Android 11, or MIUI 13.
