Fast charging technology advances significantly every year. This feature becomes one of the main differences between individual manufacturers of mobile devices. And it seems that this "race" to achieve the highest possible speed without significantly damaging the battery is still not over.
From the verified source Equal Leaks, we know that the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has registered through a well-known 3C certification new fast charger. It should support maximum performance up to the level 210 W (20 V / 10,5 A). We have never seen such performance in sales. Concepts from the Chinese brands Oppo or Vivo were closest to this value at the level of 150 W or 200 W.
At 100% capacity in less than eight minutes
More than a year ago, the company Xiaomi introduced us to the concept "Hypercharge". A new patent has the same designation, which talks about the possibility of charging via a cable with a power of more than 200 W and wirelessly at a level of up to 120 W. This means in practice that 4000 mAh the battery should be charged after less than 8 minutes. However, this is a theoretical figure, in laboratory conditions.
It seems that the value that seemed more like a utopia is now very close to reality. The Chinese manufacturer will probably introduce a new premium charger with power in the near future up to 210 W. The new technology could already appear in the upcoming flagship device Xiaomi 13 Pro. However, this is unofficial and unconfirmed information.
