In a few days, a press conference will take place on the domestic Chinese market, which will, among other things, reveal the upcoming flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 10. However, together with this smartphone, we can also look forward to a new Mi Router with standard support Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax).
Xiaomi AIoT router AX3600
The company announced the news via the Weibo social network, and the published poster revealed the upcoming name Xiaomi AIoT router AX3600 and also the date of the performance. This is, of course, the same as the mentioned smartphone, ie February 13 / February 2020
Xiaomi shows us a new router equipped with up to seven antennas. This is due to the implementation of the new WiFi 6 standard, which is, among other things, able to generate several broadcast channels, which will help against network congestion if several devices are connected at the same time.
In addition, it is standard 6 WiFi also known as WiFi AX or more precisely 802.11ax, able to reach a theoretical speed of up to 9,6 Gbps. The technology uses the simultaneous use of frequencies 2,4 and 5 GHz.
This is in contrast to the previous WiFi 5 (WiFi AC) standard, which tends to use the 2,4 standard at its lower speeds when using the 802.11 GHz frequency.
Quad-core processor and 6 amplifiers
In addition to the new standard, the most powerful Xiaomi router will also receive the latest 4-core processor from the Qualcomm workshop designed primarily for such network devices. Powerful Cortex-A53 cores ensure fast processing of requests and perfectly smooth running.
In addition, the router will be equipped up six signal amplifiers PA + LNA, which can playfully handle even thick walls.
Nový Xiaomi AIoT router AX3600 will be improved in terms of power consumption, combined with other wireless networks thanks to the BSS technology used, and will also be able to send and receive data to several devices simultaneously much faster than previous standards.
