A few weeks ago, Xiaomi introduced the twelfth generation of its popular MIUI user superstructure. According to the latest reports, the Chinese giant has also started releasing an update for the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Lite models.
MIUI 12 is expanding
Xiaomi will probably announce the start of the second phase of updating smartphones to the latest version of the superstructure in a few days. This assumption is also confirmed by our experience, as our Xiaomi Mi 10 has already received the mentioned update.
The update is currently available for European smartphone distribution and is labeled V12.0.1.0.QJBEUXM. The flagship Mi 10 model, as well as the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite device, receive a full-fledged stable ROM in a global version.
The MIUI 12 update for Xiaomi Mi 10 via OTA (Over The Air) has a size 940 MB. The Mi 10 Lite also received an OTA size update 659 MB.
We are also looking forward to the official launch of the second phase of the MIUI 12 update, which includes popular smartphones such as Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 7 and many more.
Some of our readers have also informed us that even the popular Redmi Note 8 Pro can already boast the latest generation of superstructure. We assume that all the models you can see in the picture above in the second round will gradually follow.

Interestingly, while some owners are celebrating the arrival of their own, twelfth superstructure, others are patiently waiting for the availability of the Android 10 operating system.
The good news is that the wait for the Redmi 8A owners is over. But if you don't want to wait for Android 10 via OTA, you can also download the update tu.
We expect an update to MIUI 12 for Redmi 8A in the next few days. We should also see in the near future the arrival of the latest generation of the superstructure for another device from the portfolio of the Chinese giant.
