One large concern, at least two brands and two series of flagships. There will also be today's comparison of the two best series from the brands Xiaomi and Redmi. Both companies recently launched this year's flagships.
The first was the model line Xiaomi Mi 10 and a little later came the series Redmi K30 Pro.
Two series, four telephones
Today's comparison will be a bit unconventional, because even though we practically compare only two models, in reality there are up to 4 different devices. Each of the compared series also has its own improved model. Although the result can be expected, let's look at the specifications of smartphones Xiaomi Mi 10, Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Redmi K30 Pro a Redmi K30 ProZoom.

Design
This category tends to be sharply subjective, because everyone likes something different. If we rely exclusively on the technical parameters, we must state that the Mi 10 is tens of millimeters smaller and a whole 10 g lighter. Nevertheless, it has retained all the important parameters and has nothing fundamental less than the Reds compared.
We like the 10 more regardless of the specifications. It comes in more subtle shades and has a more conservative rear view camera for our taste, which we like. The significant curvature of the display along the edges also has something in it and a small shot in the corner is not a big obstacle.
K30 Pro is also beautiful and full of AMOLED without cutouts and holes is a delicacy for the eyes. However, the Mi 10 left a better impression on us. At Redmi K30 For us interested dust and water resistance certificate IP53, which should provide increased durability over the Mi 10.
Displays have one major difference
Deciding to look at the displays of both series is also difficult for us. Each of them has some advantage, but also some minus. The technical specifications of both displays are more or less the same. Both are pure-blooded 6,7-inch AMOLED panels with an integrated fingerprint reader.
The Mi 10 has a higher refresh rate relative to the K30 Pro and that's a big plus. Anyone who has tried such a display before does not want to return to the standard one. By uploading modified firmware, it is possible to achieve this progress also at Redmi. However, this is an intervention bordering on the loss of warranty, which can also affect the overall functionality.
The disadvantage of the display on the Mi 10, in turn, is its neat curvature of the sides, which, however, takes away from the functional active area. The second minus compared to the K30 Pro is the location of the front camera. Deciding is difficult and both displays have something to offer.
No matter which of the four smartphones you choose, you will definitely not be disappointed when you look at the screen. However, the refresh rate of 90 Hz moves the Mi 10 to the forefront.
The performance is the same
As you know, there is nothing to compare in this category. All smartphones compared have the same chipset and the same memory modules. Slightly lags behind the cheapest Redmi K30 Pro model with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB memory, which has an LPDDR4x RAM module and a UFS 3.0 memory chip.
Faster and more energy-efficient storage type UFS 3.1 they have more expensive versions of the K30 Pro and all versions of the Zoom edition. All smartphones compared also have a similar type of cooling based on the Vapor Chamber.
The differences in performance of all flagships are so minimal that you won't even notice it in use. Therefore, you do not have to take performance into account when choosing one of the four. It's a draw in this comparison category.
Cameras and multimedia
The winner is clear right from the start and in this category the differences between smartphones are probably the most significant. Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro clearly offers the best combination of camera sensors. The exceptionally good results are also evidenced by the DxOmark evaluation, where the Mi 10 Pro was in first place for some time.
K30 Pro Zoom is still waiting to be included in this ranking. However, due to its specifications, a record placement is not expected.
The Mi 10 Pro came to the fore mainly thanks to 108 MPx sensor with 8 lensesthat let in more light. It's also due to sophisticated optical stabilization, a 20 MPx wide-angle sensor and an 8 MPx telephoto lens with 10x hybrid zoom.
If we were to rank the compared smartphones in terms of technical specifications of camera sensors, we would get this order:
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro
- Redmi K30 ProZoom
- Xiaomi Mi 10
- Redmi K30 Pro
The multimedia also includes sound, and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro also has an edge. Two stereo speakers with an extremely large cavity they have no competition among opponents. In the Redmi K30 Pro series, we rate the retention of the 3,5 mm audio connector as a plus.
Other equipment is almost the same
The rest of the standard equipment has all the smartphones compared at almost the same level. Sixth generation WiFi we will find in each of them and also a favorite module NFC. We will not forget to mention dual GPS with support for all available localization standards.
All smartphones are Dual SIM and support 5G mobile networks. Memory card slot is missing. Likewise, they all run on the operating system Android 10 together with the superstructure MIUI 11. Due to the fact that these are flagships, multiple updates of Android and MIUI are expected in the future.
However, there is one thing the K30 Pro has and the Mi 10 is missing. It's so-called Super Bluetoothwhich can keep the connection in the circuit up to 400m from the device.
Battery pack
If we take the pure capacity of the batteries, the classic Mi 10 model with a 4780 mAh battery will win here. The following are both Redmi K30 Pro models with 4700 mAh batteries and in the last place is the Mi 10 Pro with 4500 mAh capacity.
However, the Mi 10 Pro wins at the rate of charging through the cable in power up to 50 Wwhile with the K30 Pro it is only 33 W. With the classic Mi 10, the charging level is 30 W. In addition, smartphones Mi 10 also support wireless charging 30 W a reverse charging 10 W.
Prices
Our comparison is carried in an almost balanced score, but at sales prices this is definitely not the case and the differences are literally abysmal. Given that the K30 Pro series is not yet in global markets, we will compare the Chinese prices quoted by the manufacturer when introducing all smartphones.
To make it clearer, here is the table again:
Xiaomi Mi 10 | Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro | Redmi K30 Pro | Redmi K30 ProZoom | |
---|---|---|---|---|
6 GB RAM | 128 GB storage | - | - | 390 € | - |
8 GB RAM | 128 GB storage | 530 € | - | 445 € | 495 € |
8 GB RAM | 256 GB storage | 570 € | 660 € | 480 € | 520 € |
12 GB RAM | 256 GB storage | 620 € | 725 € | - | - |
12 GB RAM | 512 GB storage | - | 790 € | - | - |
Xiaomi Mi 10 Global
Regardless of all other parameters, the clear winner in this category is the Redmi K30 Pro. In all versions, it has the lowest price among the compared smartphones.
Just for the sake of interest, we note that the price of the lowest version of the Mi 10 starts above the price of the most expensive version of the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom.
Final decision
Choosing only one - the best - is not difficult at all. Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro clearly has the best combination of all parameters. However, its biggest weakness is its relatively high price and you will pay up to 999 € for the most expensive version in Europe.
On the contrary, the best price-performance ratio is clearly offered by the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom. There are no differences in performance and the combination of camera sensors is better than with the classic Mi 10.
When comparing all parameters in combination with the price, he is the unequivocal king of the price-equipment ratio, and of the four, he pays the most.
