If it monitors the smartphone market, about the test DxOmark you must have heard. It is a company that deals with testing the quality of cameras. During the tests, he evaluates the individual findings with points, which he adds up at the end.
This creates a point rating for a specific smartphone. According to the DxOmark ranking and test, the customer can thus get an idea of the quality of the cameras in smartphones.
How did Xiaomi smartphones perform in the tests?
DxOmark tests could thus be compared to AnTuTu performance testing. It works on a similar principle, but AnTuTu evaluates the smartphone comprehensively, while DxOmark focuses specifically on the cameras.
DxOmark published the result of the smartphone camera test Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro – the equivalent of the Chinese version of the Redmi K20 Pro. The phone scored a total of 102 points in the test. This is a lower result than the flagship Xiaomi Mi 9.
It originally had 107 points, but after checking the new camera modes, it got another 3 points. The current rating of the Mi 9 is 110 points and it is a result 8 points higher than that of the Mi 9T Pro.
If we look at the comprehensive ranking of DxOmark smartphones, we will find out what the eight-point difference means.
The result of 102 points meant for Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro the 17th position in the ranking. It was thus placed, for example, behind the older model Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. However, it won, for example, before the Apple iPhone XR.
According to experts, the camera is able to take photos in most cases with good exposure and good balance of texture and noise.
Although in some areas such as dynamic range, white balance and video detail, there is ample room for improvement when it comes to photography is the Mi 9T Pro / Mi 9T machine with excellent value for money.
In short, Redmi received a compliment from DxOmark experts for her work. The company's motto: "Quality technology accessible to all," is reaffirmed.
The DxOmark rating is indicative only
There are different opinions about the reliability of the tests performed by DxOmark, as well as in the case of the AnTuTu performance test. According to skeptics, the ranking can be influenced by the smartphone manufacturer itself, which simply pays for a better position in the ranking.
At any time, a situation can arise when a lower-rated smartphone, under certain circumstances, achieves a better result in the form of a photo or video than a smartphone placed on a higher rung.
We evaluate the location of Xiaomi smartphones positively
We will not evaluate the work and credibility of DxOmarkt. The first in the ranking is the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, which is understandable given the hardware used. Some users may criticize Xiaomi smartphones for the results.
However, we see great success in this ranking. Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro smartphone with a price tag of approximately 300 € / 7 CZK and a slightly more expensive Mi 800 are in the TOP DxOmark rankings next to many more expensive flagships of other brands. Many of them have been overcome, so there can be no question of bad results.
