The Mi A series of smartphones is very well known from the Xiaomi workshop. Mi A smartphones do not use the MIUI superstructure, but pure Android - Android One.
The whole series has been quite criticized. The biggest problem occurs with the latest model in this series, We are A3which still hasn't gotten stable Android 10.
Android One
Android One is pure Android, without any other extension. Android One guarantees system updates on vista 2 years and monthly, security updates for a period of 3 years.
Xiaomi wanted to give its users a feeling "pure Android” in the Mi A line. The execution was not flawless at all.
Third update to Android 10
They have already run on the Mi A3 phone 3 attempts for an update to Android 10. The first attempt took place at the end February 2020, but was returned due to errors and shortcomings.
In the middle March 2020 another attempt followed, but to no avail, the errors were the same as in the first attempt.

After updating to the latest update this is what is going on in my phone.
This fingerprint icon is just blinking and I'm unable to use the device. And my # mia3 is overheating a lot.
Just please provide a good update at least to run the system. pic.twitter.com/7DImy8AMvV- Rishank Thakur (@ RishankThakur4u) April 8, 2020
The latest update attempt on Android 10 took place a few days ago - 08.04.2020. In the image below, we see a conversation with a customer service user who claims that in the latest update to Android 10, some errors occur, so the update was downloaded back again.
The biggest problems in the Xiaomi Mi A3 smartphone with Android 10 are:
- Random restart
- Excessive battery discharge
- Camera delay
- Fingerprint sensor problem
- Camera shutter problem
- UI Lag
- Performance problem
Xiaomi has still not commented on these issues. The A3 still runs 2 years old Android 9, which we recommend you stay on for now.
When the stable version of Android 10 for Mi A3 comes out, we will definitely inform you.
