The display has undergone the biggest innovation
Even though we have the weight listed as the first item in the table, the difference of two grams is really negligible. According to the available information, the dimensions have not increased either. The body of Mi Band 4 should also be able to be used with a bracelet from Mi Band 3. However, the most significant innovation is the display.
In the new Mi Band 4, a color AMOLED touch screen was used. In addition to its predecessor, it has grown and has diagonal 0,95 inches. The OLED black and white display in the older Mi Band has a diagonal of 0,78 inches. The resolution has also changed from 80 x 128 pixels to 120 x 240 pixels.
It's not just about size and colors
However, it is important to write that the manufacturer cared about the clear display. For both the older Mi Band 2 and Mi Band 3, many users had difficulty reading displays in direct sunlight. With a new bracelet with AMOLED technology used, everything should be different. The brightness level can be adjusted by the user. The curvature of the 2,5D display only adds to its attractiveness.

Another significant change is the use of sensors. The Mi Band 3 is equipped with a 3-axis accelerator and a heart rate sensor. In addition to these two sensors, the newer bracelet also has a 3-axis gyroscope and a capacitive proximity sensor.. It logically follows that Mi Band 4 should monitor more accurately especially physical activity.

A few words in conclusion
Both bracelets definitely have something to offer and the older Mi Band 3 is definitely not to be thrown away. However, the price difference between the two versions is at the level of a small sitting with a partner in a cafe. Therefore, we recommend paying extra for those few euros or crowns and getting a smarter novelty. At least the display is worth it.
