We Band has become a popular fitness bracelet mainly due to its excellent equipment at a low price.
Thanks to leaks from AndroidTR, we now know other features of the upcoming version with the label Xiaomi Mi Band 5.
Mi Band 5 gets advanced features
The upcoming generation has passed FCC certification with code number XMSH11HM. Under the name "Kong Ming", the device also appeared in the Amazfit application and it gave us an insight into some of the upcoming functions.
It is this version with the model designation XMSH11HM that is to be intended for China. In addition, another version will be on the market directly for Europe, codenamed XMSH1HM and called "York".
York: XMSH10HM (Global)
- No NFC
- Blood Oxygen sensor (SpO2)
- Amazon Alexa Assistant Support
Kongming: XMSH11HM (CN NFC)
- NFC
- Without Blood Oxygen sensor (SpO2)
- XiaoAI voice assistant
Amazfit Alexa and no NFC
In the European version, the Mi Band 5 bracelet will also bring the possibility of measuring the volume of oxygen in the blood. This measurement will be referred to as SpO2 and will be used on a daily basis, not just in exercise. The measured value allows us to know the amount of hemoglobin that carries oxygen in our blood.

In terms of new animations, we can see that several versions of the fitness bracelet will be available again. The Chinese will offer an NFC chip and a local XiaoAI intelligent assistant that communicates in Chinese.

However, you will probably be more interested in the version intended for the European market. It seems to offer the integration of Amazon's intelligent assistant Alexa.
European resp. however, the global version will again not offer the NFC chip for contactless payments, which we perceive as negative.
However, this is not all within the planned functions. Published source code has revealed that the new generation of bracelets will also offer several features to control ovulation and menstruation. An overview of individual days and statistics should also be available.
In addition, the Mi Band 4 will be able to monitor a total of up to 11 sports activities, including cycling, gym training, swimming and skipping.
Price and availability of the bracelet
We don't know the final date of the fitness bracelet show yet Xiaomi Mi Band 5. However, according to the latest available information from China, the date of the performance should not be far away, also given the dates of the previous generation.
The release date of Mi Band 5 may be postponed to the last week of June or to the first week of July, due to certifications that the manufacturer was unable to obtain earlier.
After the Chinese performance, the European one should also take place, while we also expect the selling price at the level of the previous generation, ie at the value approximately € 34,99.
