Folding smartphones with a flexible display have been on the market for some time. One of the first to embrace the concept was South Korean giant Samsung, but other manufacturers, including Xiaomi, certainly did not hesitate.
In mid-April this year, the Chinese giant introduced to the world its very first folding smartphone, which it was Xiaomi Mi MIX Fold. It offers premium equipment, but its price also reaches premium numbers. The solution may be Xiaomi Mi MIX Flip.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip presented by Xiaomi?
At the beginning of last year, Samsung launched a new folding smartphone, which was significantly different from the previous ones. The difference was mainly in the V-version itself, which nostalgically took us back several years.
This concept was obviously liked by Xiaomi as well. The Chinese certification revealed a new patent, which Xiaomi registered, while strikingly similar to the above-mentioned Z Flip model. The name of the device is not known, but there is speculation about the name Xiaomi Mi MIX Flip.
From these images we can read that the back side will belong to three cameras in an interesting round module. The front has a double space for a selfie camera, on the bottom we find a hole for a speaker and a USB Type-C charging port.
Unfortunately, we don't have more information about this smartphone yet. Whether Xiaomi is really working on such a smartphone, we still cannot say for sure. However, we believe that the price tag of the device should be significantly lower than in the case of a South Korean competitor.
Of course, we will continue to monitor the whole situation and then publish all the news on our Xiaomi Planet technology portal. If you don't want to miss anything important, join our friend group on Facebook and subscribe to interesting articles directly to your email inbox.
