The smartphone provokes discussions and users hesitate to buy. Mi Note 10 hides several questions that are unanswered.

In order not to be critical, we must immediately write that the Mi Note 10 is a top smartphone with great equipment, which has aroused great interest. We decided to prepare a comparison with the still current flagship killer Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.

To make it more interesting, today's comparison will take place in the course of a sports match and we will award points in individual categories. Which of the smartphones gets more points will win.

Dimensions, design and display

We are always a little worried about this category, because design is always a very subjective thing. However, we rely on the facts and here we can boldly write that no one wants a rough and heavy phone. Although the Mi Note 10 tried to fit into today's standard dimensions, the higher capacity of the battery and the huge body of the 108 MPx sensor did not let it go. It is almost a millimeter thicker and 17 g heavier than the compared competitor.

Other disadvantages for Mi Note 10 must be noted when looking at the display. The cut-out for the front camera is no longer worn in high-end smartphones today, as we have already had the opportunity to see several other "selfie" camera solutions.

Although the curved edges of the display try to make the smartphone optically slimmer, they are thus removed from the direct display area.

If we have already mentioned the display, we will immediately state that except for the curvature, which we have already mentioned, the displays in both smartphones have almost the same parameters. In Mi Note, the display panel is slightly larger, but the resolution has not changed, which has invisibly reduced the pixel density.

The brightness of both devices is 600 rivets, but the contrast is in a better ratio of 400: 000 Mi Note 1 compared to 10: 60 in the Mi 000T Pro. The new optical fingerprint sensor also works in favor of the novelty, which should be more accurate and faster than with the opponent.

In terms of design, in our opinion, the Mi 9T Pro predominates in this category, thanks to the frameless display without a cutout, lower weight and thickness.

Performance

The Mi Note 10 received a lower class chipset in the class. Snapdragon 730G Although it has parameters and performance at the top level and manages all the needs of a smartphone, the Snapdragon 855 will not catch up. This is also evidenced by the overall score in the AnTuTu performance test.

However, we must highly praise Xiaomi, which did not try to push the oversized performance into the smartphone at all costs and took into account the final price of the whole device. The processor used in the Mi Note 10 playfully handles other elements of its equipment and therefore any concerns are unnecessary.

Both smartphones come in the same highest memory versions, which is 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Versions with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage are also available, and for the Mi 9T Pro also versions with 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. The advantages of the MIUI 11 software extension are already enjoyed by the recently updated Mi 9T Pro, which also received Android 10 when updated.

However, when comparing performance, the Mi 9T Pro clearly has the upper hand and therefore gains another point.

Cameras

Are we going to compare the incomparable? I don't believe that. Penta camera - as they say by the combination of five cameras in Mi Note 10 it simply has no competition. The manufacturer has put a lot of effort and money into its development and the right combination of sensors.

It was the hardest and most expensive step in composing the whole smartphone. There is also a quality result for quality work, which is also confirmed by the company's evaluation DxOmark, which rated the camera equipment in Mi Note 10 on 121 points. He got the Mi 9T Pro in the same test only 102 points.

You can see the parameters of the cameras of both phones in the table and we will just add that the Mi Note also has one dual LED flash. Its purpose is to create more natural colors in the photo when the lighting is dim, by applying softer light.

When evaluating connectivity, there is nothing to blame for any of the compared smartphones. Both support our mobile LTE bands and other wireless connections in the latest standards. Location services also draw data from all available navigation systems.

Nevertheless, it has one extra Mi Note 10 parameter. It's an infrared port. For many, its usability is debatable, but the specifications don't let go and the Mi Note 10 gets the point.

In the case of the price-performance ratio, the Mi 9T Pro has the upper hand, but it is also a few months longer on the market, which has managed to lower its price. We believe that the price of the Mi Note 10 will gradually decrease as well, making this piece even more attractive.

When we started making this comparison, we didn't expect the fight to end in a draw. We had ideas about the qualities and shortcomings of both devices, but only now have we pitted them against each other. Of course, the same score cannot mean indecision or even the claim that they are the same smartphone.

In the end, we have to analyze the points obtained in specific categories. We will not force one of your smartphones on you or fictitiously highlight certain features. Based on rational facts, we would like to write which phone is intended for whom.

Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro is for people who don't necessarily need the best camera on the market and want to get the best value for money for their money. We mentioned a long time ago in one of the articles that this smartphone has succeeded and will not have competition for a long time. We stand behind it and even today we must state that this is still true.

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is, on the contrary, for users who may take smartphone photography more professionally or simply take very photos and want to have the best photos and videos on the market. They don't necessarily need the highest performance, but they can do with an average that handles all operations. And they want a very long battery life, which they then charge quickly. After all, they don't mind a higher price.
