As part of its MIUI extension, Xiaomi regularly brings a large amount of news and innovations that we, end users, really like and make working with a smartphone more enjoyable. After the new, the beta version of MIUI 12 is being tested new multitasking menu.
From time immemorial, when we think of the Android skin, MIUI comes up with a multitasking menu, which was completely different from every smartphone from another manufacturer. Thanks to the arrangement of applications in smaller windows, more apps fit on the vertical list, but after the new one you will also get to choose between the classic menus.
The classic menu is coming
If you've ever wondered how to set up the menu you know from every smartphone on Xiaomi smartphones, unfortunately, that wasn't possible. But the upcoming update to MIUI 12 will change all that.
As you can see in the screenshot above, the new horizontal multitasking menu is already available in the launcher version Alpha-4.21.0.2425-10261728which you can also install. This launcher and specifically this menu works great on our editorial Mi 8 Lite.
You install it too
If you would like to download this version of the launcher, click on this link. After installing the application, such options will appear in the settings. Just go to the Home screen and then select Arrange items in Recents (adjust the arrangement of windows in multitasking).
You will have a choice between classic multitasking menu a new horizontal. Whether you choose one or the other layout is purely up to you. We commend the MIUI developers for allowing us to modify and adapt the superstructure even more and in more detail in this way.
