The MIUI superstructure from Xiaomi has many supporters as well as opponents. It's been some Friday since Xiaomi unveiled its first model based on the Android One platform - the Xiaomi Mi A1. It brings a real experience of pure Android, similar to Pixel smartphones from Google.
Information about possible successors of last year's Android One models Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite has now appeared on the Internet.
Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite?
Information about the new Android One models from Xiaomi was brought by the portal XDA Developers. One of their members discovered that Xiaomi had started testing the hardware of three new models, two of which should come with the Android One platform.
The code designations of the discovered models are "pyxis","bamboo_sprout"And"cosmos_sprout". addition sprout in the labels predicts the presence of Android One, as each such device is registered on the official Google website with exactly this addition in the code designation.
Smartphones labeled "bamboo_sprout" and "cosmos_sprout" should be just right Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite, by whom "Pyxis" will be the Chinese version of the Mi A3 model. The same was true for previous models - the 5X is the Chinese version of the Mi A1, the Mi 6X for the Mi A2. Based on this philosophy, a smartphone with the name "pyxis" could be named My 9X.
Fingerprint sensor in the middle class display?
Hardware testing also revealed that all three smartphones have a fingerprint sensor in the display. Until now, this feature has been the prerogative of only flagship or higher-class smartphones. Looks like Xiaomi wants to change that.
As the ultrasonic fingerprint reader only supports the Snapdragon 855 chipset and more expensive OLED displays, we expect Xiaomi to receive middle-class news optical fingerprint readers.
Other parameters are still unknown
Unfortunately, in the information known so far, there were no details about the further hardware equipment of the "pyxis", "bamboo_sprout" and "cosmos_sprout" models. However, a logical deduction can be deduced. Xiaomi is currently very popular with the Snapdragon 660 chipset, which it implements into cheap smartphones. It was this chipset that could replace the Snapdragon 625 (in the Mi A2 Lite) and get into the Mi A3 Lite.
Since the Mi A2 is equipped with a Snapdragon 660, in the Mi A3 we could see the Snapdragon 675 or Snapdragon 710. However, all of these are so far only guesses. As soon as we find out more, you will be the first to know.
