Xiaomi brings a new washer and dryer
The novelty is coming to the Chinese sales market with an official designation Xiaomi Mijia Washing and Drying Machine Exclusive Edition. However, the "Exclusive Edition" label is not just for decoration in this case. This is the manufacturer's flagship model with advanced features and improved design or control.
The washing machine attracts from the outside, thanks to the slim design with a depth of only 550 millimeters. It offers a capacity of up to 10 kilograms of laundry and, in addition to various washing and drying programs, it also contains a disinfection program, automatic filling of detergent and fabric softener, or connection to a mobile application. The washing agent and fabric softener distributes the washing machine evenly according to the need and the selected program, thanks to which they prevent them from accumulating or the formation of too much foam. In addition, the detergent container is waterproof and has a capacity of approximately 20 wash cycles.
Disinfection, touch screen and gentle programs
During the spreading coronavirus, disinfection with a steam system or a door with an antibacterial seal, which prevents the penetration of up to 99% of harmful bacteria, will also please.
Integrated steam micro-nozzles also prevent the spread of strong odors such as alcohol, tobacco or other odors impregnated in long garments such as coats. The steam also acts as a guarantee for the perfect cleaning of children's clothes or plush toys and its task is to prevent possible allergies.
The new model of the washing machine does not contain a belt or mechanical bearings, which, in addition to extending the life of the drum itself, reduces noise and vibration during use. The drum contains rubber blades and uses a special membrane that is gentle on clothes and prevents excessive friction.
Among the 22 optional washing programs, we will also find extra speed dials that will wash and dry your laundry in just 60 minutes. There are also gentle options for silk and wool. The washing machine contains a touch and color screen, which is tilted by 32 °, which makes it easier to read. The design also includes 26 touch buttons, a Wi-Fi connection indicator and a child lock.
Price and availability of a new product
New washer with dryer marked Xiaomi Mijia Washing and Drying Machine Exclusive Edition comes on sale through the crowdfunding platform Xiaomi YouPin and other local Chinese retailers. Pre-sale in China began on December 3, 2021, but official sales will begin on December 12, 2021.
The official Chinese selling price is 3499 Chinese Yuan, which in current conversion amounts to approximately 485 € / USD 549. There is also a discounted introductory price on the value 2999 Chinese yuan (416 € / 470 USD). We don't have any official information about international availability yet.
