Xiaomi Router 7000: 14 nm Wi-Fi router with capacity for 600 devices
A powerful Wi-Fi router is sold under the name Xiaomi Router 7000. The matte black color version is complemented by up to 1 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It comes with four 2,5G network ports and the manufacturer claims that the router can access up to 600 devices simultaneously.
The integrated Qualcomm IPQ 9554 processor ensures smooth operation. It supports Networking Pro 620, i.e. a three-band network platform also known as Wi-Fi 7, and it can handle up to six data streams. The processor is made with a 14 nm production process, it has four Cortex-A73 cores with a clock rate of up to 2,2 GHz. However, in this case, the manufacturer limited the clock to 1,5 GHz.

In terms of speed, Xiaomi Router 7000 it has two high-performance signal amplifiers that are part of the 2,4 GHz frequency band. This band has a theoretical speed 1376,1 Mbps. However, there is also a 5 GHz band with a theoretical speed at the level 5764,8 Mbps. It also supports dual WAN/LAN up to 5 Gbps aggregation.
The Wi-Fi router uses seven external antennas and 2 internal antennas. These are divided into 4 x single-frequency antenna for 2,4 GHz, 4 x single-frequency antenna for 5 GHz and one NFC antenna for quick pairing.
It also has acceleration that is specific to Xiaomi devices. Thus, it intelligently recognizes Xiaomi / Redmi mobile phones and opens an exclusive channel to speed up the game. The router also supports software acceleration for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC, mobile phones and other devices to reduce lag and eliminate freezing of game titles.
However, what makes this news different from its predecessors is the possibility of upgrading to the standard Wi-Fi 7. Official support for this standard will arrive in the future.
