The situation in the world probably does not need much description. The new Covid-19 virus threatens everyone and there is a lack of protective equipment. As a result, the demand for protective masks has also grown exponentially.
Based on this global problem, Xiaomi decided to respond. Xiaomi applied for a patent for a new product - a smart mask. You may be wondering what a protective mask can be intelligent in, but if you know Xiaomi, you know it's not impossible for them.

The new protective mask from Xiaomi is made of a highly ergonomic plastic structure, thanks to which it can adapt to any contour of the face with the help of several moving parts. So it fits everyone perfectly.
Regarding the smart function of the mask, Xiaomi discloses in the patent the presence of several monitoring sensors that are able to measure air quality. Thanks to this function, the mask is able to record levels of contamination as well as a number of harmful factors.
This information will be displayed directly on the phone as a complete graph of the air condition. The mask sends the data directly to the phone via a Bluetooth connection. In addition, the mask should have a small battery, gyroscope and accelerometer to find out when we are wearing the mask.
