The Chinese manufacturer officially presented its new speaker with the label Xiaomi SoundMove. It is characterized by a solid metal construction, as well as symmetrical stereo speakers. On the top there are physical hardware buttons to control playback and also connections.
The anodized aluminum surface treatment has increased resistance to water and dust, even with IP 66 certification. It features four-piece aluminum construction as well as Harman/Kardon enhancements.

An interesting feature is the built-in gravity sensor. This sensor will allow the speaker to set the optimal sound output according to its location. Xiaomi Sound Move has dimensions of 177 x 55,5 x 55,5 mm and weighs 568 grams. Inside there are left and right 1,75″ speakers, which are also supplemented with front and rear passive radiators that contribute to increased resonance. The result is a rich and full sound with performance 15 W and maximum sound pressure up to at the level of 90 dB. She also signed on to the audio presentation AudioEFX adjustment from Harman / Kardon.
The speaker also supports the Chinese smart assistant XiaoAI, with which you can control various smart products in your home. You can also combine two Sound Move speakers to create high-quality stereo. In total, you can connect up to 8 speakers to create a complex audio system for your apartment, house or office.
In terms of connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz), Bluetooth version 5.3, and connection via AirPlay 2 technology from Apple or Xiaomi Miaobo are available.
Na 4150 mAh the battery lasts up to 21 hours of playback and offers 5,5 days in intelligent standby mode. It's not missing either USB-C connector for fast charging of this speaker with a power of up to 22 W.
Price and availability
New wireless HiFi speaker named Xiaomi SoundMove is starting to be sold in the next few days, but exclusively on the Chinese market. The official selling price stopped at the value 699 Chinese Yuan, which in current conversion amounts to approx. 92 €.
However, we'll likely have to wait a few more weeks for this speaker's global availability, if at all.
