Xiaomi Mi Note 3 was the very first smartphone from Xiaomi to come with face unlock support. Since then, this feature has been implemented in many other models, even the cheaper ones. However, the face unlock feature is limited in the global version of MIUI and only works in some regions. After the new one, it is finally available in the Czech Republic.
The inhabitants of the Czech Republic are already looking forward to it
Until now, you had to set the India or Hong Kong region on your smartphone to access the face unlock feature. However, this involved showing different ads tailored to these countries, or different weather or time settings. New update to MIUI 10.2 however, it brings support to the function as well for the Czech Republic region.

The update is currently available for the following models: Xiaomi Mi 8, Mi 8 Pro, Mi 8 Lite, Mi Mix 3, Pocophone F1, Redmi Note 6 Pro and Redmi 6. Other models will follow, such as the Mi Mix 2S, Redmi 6A or Mi Max 3.
Slovaks are still waiting
We also contacted the official Slovak representation of Xiaomi regarding the access to the face unlocking function. So far, we have not known the specific date of making this feature available for the region of Slovakia. However, Slovaks can still use the function through the Czech Republic region, or through other regions, such as India or Hong Kong.
